Far Cry Essential update for your favorite game
This patch is for Far Cry, a first person shooter set in remote locales. This patch contains a number of fixes as well as useful tools. This download actually includes the game manual, so you can see what the book was like and get helpful hints and tips for your run through the game. The patch also adds remakes of assault maps and closes a number of security holes that could crash your game. Support for a controller other than the mouse is added, and a few console commands have been removed to avoid permanent alterations to the game. This patch is 180 megs in size and can be installed right in the Far Cry directory folder.
